How I Help Develop My Students
I help struggling students become confident and independent learners. There isn't a cookie cutter way to learn, which is why I do one-on-one tutoring. Because of this, I can personalize my teaching methods to each of my students. If one explanation doesn't work, I immediately try a different approach that suits my student.
To make sure that my students truly understand the concepts we are learning, I don't just give answers, I prioritize the fundamentals. This way, my students don't simply memorize answers and can become independent problem solvers who can approach much more difficult problems.
I always keep parents informed. After every session, I inform the parents what we covered, my future plans, and what I expect my student to finish before next class.
My goal isn't to make my students dependent on my tutoring but, instead, it's to make them independent learners who can succeed long after our sessions end.
